John is a Principal at StrategyCorp, working across its management consulting, public affairs, and communications practice. John works extensively with companies in the energy and financial sectors. 

John has almost 20 years of combined experience in the federal government and investment industry providing strategic advice on public policy, communications, data analysis and marketing. 

Prior to joining StrategyCorp, John worked for the CPP Investment Board, an institutional investor and one of the 10 largest retirement funds in the world, heading strategic communications, marketing and authoring the annual Environment, Social & Governance report. He was also a member of the Climate Change Working Group. 

During his 10 years in government, John worked as Deputy Chief of Staff for both the Minister of Natural Resources and Minister of Finance. He played an integral role in some of the largest public policy files in Canada, including reforming the resource development regulatory regime, sale of AECL and creation of Canada Nuclear Labs, budgetary policy, infrastructure, and financial sector regulation. 

In 2015, John was identified by The Hill Times as one of the "Top 100 Most Powerful and Influential People in Government and Politics." John has deep roots in both the Conservative Party of Canada and Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. He started participating in politics 20 years ago and has been involved in nearly every major federal and provincial election since.
