Janet is a Partner leading major and mega project advice in KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice and is co-Leader of the firm’s Board Leadership Centre (BLC).

She has more than 20 years of experience in asset-intensive organizations and 15 years in major and mega capital projects, advising public and private sector clients in Canada and around the world. Janet has advised all levels in the organization, including the Board and Audit Committee, across many industries, ranging from energy, utilities, real estate, infrastructure, ports, shipbuilding, and transportation to mining, financial services, insurance, and manufacturing. She has also led, reviewed, and advised on Public-Private Partnerships (P3s).

Her deep knowledge and extensive experience makes her one of Canada’s most-respected advisers and thought leaders to Capital Project Risk and Asset-Intensive organizations. She is also a Subject Matter Expert in Construction Claims and Disputes and Project Performance.

Janet previously served on the board of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO), a not-for-profit organization created by Canada’s nuclear producers. She chaired NWMO’s Governance and Human Resources Committee and co-led the CEO Review Committee. She also was a director of Waterfront Toronto and served as its Acting Chair. While on the board, she held various roles, including Chair of the Audit Committee, overseeing the $1.25-billion flood-protection project in the city’s Port Lands district. She also chaired the governance and CEO search committees and co-chaired the CEO review committee.
