Enbridge Gas Inc.
In this role, Jim is accountable for the operations, maintenance and construction of the Ontario utility’s distribution system with responsibility for the execution of all field operations to ensure the continued safe and reliable delivery of natural gas. He also has accountability for the company’s gas distribution affiliates, Enbridge Gas New Brunswick, St. Lawrence Gas and Gazifère.
Jim was appointed President of Enbridge Gas Distribution (EGD) in February 2017. His responsibilities included the leadership and operations of Enbridge Gas Distribution as well as its three affiliate companies.
With 30 years of experience in the energy industry, Jim has held roles at Nuclear Activation Services, Union Gas, Duke Energy and EGD in engineering, operations, sales and business development. His natural gas work has included the design, construction and operation of distribution, transmission and storage assets in Canada and the U.S.
Jim joined Enbridge in 2006. Prior to leading EGD as President, Jim served as Vice President, Engineering and Asset Management.
He earned a Master’s of Engineering and Public Policy from McMaster University in Hamilton and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) at the University of Waterloo. He is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
Jim is an active supporter of the United Way and is currently a co-chair for the Toronto, York and Peel United Way Cabinet. He is a board member of the Canadian Gas Association.
Jim and his wife, Jane, have a son and daughter and call Toronto home..
