OEA ENERGY PLATFORM

As Ontario prepares for a provincial election in June 2018, the OEA developed the Energy Platform to provide elected officials from all the provincial political parties and other key decision makers with clear and precise recommendations to optimize energy policy to the benefit of Ontario energy consumers.

Our recommendations have been shaped by three key objectives that will provide Ontarians with an energy system that is: lowest cost; clean; and reliable.

The Energy Platform recommendations focus on three key areas:
1. Reforming the governance of energy planning
2. Optimizing use of existing infrastructure
3. Lead regulatory evolution
