Stuart Lee has been EPCOR President & CEO since 2015. Under his leadership, EPCOR has sharpened its focus on operational excellence and growth, adding new geographies and business lines to its portfolio in Canada and the U.S.
 
EPCOR has had responsibility for managing Edmonton’s complete water utility cycle since 2017 when the City transferred its Drainage operations to the company. In neighbouring Saskatchewan, EPCOR completed the Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has been cited by an independent certifier as being among the best-executed infrastructure developments in Canada
 
Stuart also led EPCOR’s growth in Ontario with the acquisition of natural gas distribution assets, a natural gas franchise in the Southern Bruce region of Ontario and, the purchase of the Collingwood LDC. As well, EPCOR USA is currently among the largest private water utilities in the U.S. Southwest with operations in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
 
Prior to joining EPCOR, Stuart was an executive with Capital Power Corporation, serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Commercial Services, and as Senior Vice President Finance & CFO – a position he held since the company’s initial public offering in 2009. Stuart was also President and Board member of Capital Power Income LP (2009-2011).   He played a key role in the IPO process and successful spin-off of Capital Power from EPCOR.
 
Stuart is a seasoned business executive with over 30 years of experience, and has extensive financial and commercial expertise in the power and utility industries. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and is a chartered accountant. Stuart serves on the Board of Directors of STARS Air Ambulance (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service) as Audit Chair, and has previously sat on the Audit Committee of the University of Alberta and on the Board of Directors for the Citadel Theatre.
