The Honourable Jill Dunlop
Associate Minister of Children and Women's Issues
Government of Ontario
Born and raised in Coldwater, Jill Dunlop developed a love and appreciation of rural Ontario and community engagement. This passion drove her to run as the MPP for Simcoe North in 2018.
One year after being elected, Jill was appointed as Associate Minister for Children and Women’s Issues. Under this portfolio, she has been able to champion important issues such as: combating anti-human trafficking, modernizing Ontario’s dated child welfare system, addressing domestic violence, as well as promoting the social and economic development of women across the province.
As a mother and a former faculty member at Georgian College, she is uniquely keyed into the challenges facing Ontarians across the province. Jill believes that building strong partnerships across all sectors is critical in supporting our communities, small businesses, and industries at the heart of Ontario’s economy.
