INCREASING THE ENERGY INDUSTRY’S LABOUR POOL,
AND EXCELLENT CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG WOMEN
OEA Women in Energy is a forum for women and men to discuss challenges and opportunities to increasing the proportion of women in our sector. This year’s Women in Energy event will focus on the factors involved with increasing the proportion of women enrolling in post-secondary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) training – the primary labour pool for our sector. Many OEA members have indicated that there are far too few women entering the education system in the STEM areas from which our sector can draw. Keynote addresses will be followed by a panel discussion.
